Dr. Elizabeth R. Dy

Dr. Elizabeth R. Dy considers continuing education to be an integral part of her practice. She is currently an active member of the Academy of General Dentistry, having served as secretary, vice-president, and president for the Tampa Bay district in recent years. She is working toward obtaining fellowship status within the organization.

Dr. Dy has immense passion for all areas of dentistry and is very proud to offer her patients procedures assisted by a variety of dental lasers which allow her to approach her practice more conservatively. She is one of just a few Tampa Bay area dentists to offer laser dentistry, utilizing Biolase Waterless iPlus and Fotona Lightwalker hard and soft tissue lasers.

She is also passionate about educating and empowering her patients. She tries to spend as much time as possible with patients to discuss treatment needs and the rationale behind her recommendations.

Dr. Dy began her professional career working in community health. When she has availability, she still volunteers her services to the those in need at the Judeo Christian Health Clinic and Gulfcoast Dental Outreach Clinic as well as at annual events such as the Florida Mission of Mercy.

She currently resides in Odessa, FL with her husband, Darryl, and their toddler, Mateo. On her free time, she enjoys traveling with her family, trying new recipes, frequenting farmers markets, eating at new restaurants, and cheering on her husband during his triathlon races.

Our TeamBelcherStaffpic

We select only the best of the best to serve our patients and their families. All of our staff members are friendly, knowledgeable, and highly proficient in their office duties. Should you have any questions or concerns before, during or after a visit to our office, do not hesitate to visit with one of our team members. They are readily standing by to address your needs.

Elcira Crespo is our Lead Dental Assistant. She was born and raised in Michigan by Cuban immigrant parents who worked hard to learn the language and earn a good living, giving Elcy and her brother the best possible life.

Elcy attended Mott Community College where she received her CDA (Certified Dental Assitant) and RDA (Registered Dental Assistant). She married her husband, PJ, in the late 80’s and moved around the country, working in 3 states before settling in Tampa in the early 90’s. The two of them have 2 children (Maria and Carlos) and a beautiful granddaughter named Cassandra.

In their spare time, Elcy and PJ love to travel and spend as much time as possible with their family and friends. They also enjoy volunteering at Trinity Cafe and Metropolitan Ministries to give back to the community and give thanks to God for his blessings.

“I am so glad that many years ago I made the decision to go into the dental field. I am blessed to have worked for superb dentists that have taught me and are teaching me every day! Being a dental assistant has given me the opportunity to meet many people. I hope I have touched as many people as have touched me.”

Stephanie Dunn is our Practice Administrator, Insurance Coordinator, Whitening Specialist, and general Go-To Gal. She was born in Connecticut but moved to Florida when she was very young. She started at the office with Dr. Belcher at age 16, quickly falling in love with the patient interaction and dental profession.

Stephanie feels very fortunate that the office took her under their wing at such a young age, giving her the opportunity to grow and learn with such a wonderful team.

When she’s not providing top notch service to our patients, she can be found playing with her dogs (Emmett Otter and Maggie Moo), hunting down a good deal on vintage dresses, or scouring the Internet for anything corgi related.

Sorry, fellas! Stephanie is off-the-market. She is looking forward to marrying her fiancé Brad at Tampa’s Lowry Park Zoo this November.

Marie Joles is our dental hygienist, fighting the good fight against gum disease on a daily basis. She grew up in the suburbs of Cincinnati as the eighth of nine children. In 1993, Marie graduated from The University of Cincinnati Dental Hygiene Program and married her high school sweetheart, Dave.  They have 3 awesome kids (Samantha, Natalie, and Nicholas) along with several fur babies! Though they have lived in 5 different states, they are very happy to be able to call Tampa home.

According to Marie, her journey to a career in dentistry was a crooked line. Although she started working in dentistry part-time in high school in the 80’s, she went on to nursing school after high school. Ultimately

deciding that nursing was not the right fit, she at least knew that she wanted to stay in the health field. Luckily, she found her passion in dentistry while continuing to work as an assistant and returned to school as a more mature student.

Marie refers to her family as “The Joles Team.” They are passionate about animal rescue and have fostered more than 5 litters of kittens! Marie and her husband enjoy working out together to stay healthy and spending their weekends watching their kids’ various sports activities. Marie also enjoys gardening and reading for fun to unwind and recharge.

“I am truly blessed to love every part of my job- even the things that most people find disgusting!”
